Mmm...Mmm...Monday!

I love holidays when I can sit back and relax with my loved ones. So many times we get caught up in the commercialism of the day and not the opportunity to create memories. As I dress my tree this year, I find that I'm not as rigid in my whole decorating process as in previous years, and I really don't have the energy to go overboard like I generally do. Not all my decorations will make it to the tree but a few with special meaning will be showcased like the little mouse below. I believe it was from Disney's Cinderella and it will be front and center on my tree!

As I stated in earlier posts, I'm a grandma's baby and I would put this on our tree every year when I was growing up. I'm not sure how I came to have this ornament in my possession, because my grandma died before I had a family of my own. Although I'm unsure of how I got this ornament it brings back so many happy memories for me! It reminds me to create happy memories with my family like my grandma did with me! I just love that my kids and hubby indulge me when I want to do all these crazy things during the holidays, because they have realized like myself, that the best gift is time spent with loved ones and not money spent on gifts!
